Rooted is a small local business providing a wide range of culinary services, including private parties, in home meal preparations, cooking lessons, beer and wine dinners, intimate weddings and much more.

The company specializes in farm-to-table dining and bringing the freshest offerings possible to your special gathering. At Rooted we pride ourselves on the use of local, seasonal, sustainable – and most of all, delicious – ingredients. Through our relationships with farmers and purveyors around Colorado, we are able to provide you with the highest quality food, while also supporting our community and our planet.

Ian Rubenoff is the chef and owner of Rooted. He grew up in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and began his culinary career in Charlottesville, Va., in 1999. He moved to Colorado in 2002. Over the past 12 years he has played an integral part in several of the premier kitchens in the Boulder area, including a tenure as the Chef de Cuisine at Qs restaurant in the Boulderado Hotel, and most recently, as the Executive Chef at the Lyons Fork. With over a decade of culinary experience in the area, Ian has developed lasting relationships with countless local purveyors and farmers. From heirloom tomatoes to free range beef and lamb, he always strives to source locally grown and raised ingredients in a seasonal and innovative manner. Most of all, he believes that the relationship between the farm, the kitchen, and the table, is the root to healthy, happy families and friendships.
